After an email sent last night addressing wellness supports on campus, and due to a concerning reference to February 11, 2026, the University has decided to take the precautionary measure of closing the campus on the date mentioned. The University will be closed on Wednesday. Any scheduled midterms will take place during the next regularly scheduled class.
Residences will remain accessible via keys as usual, and Jennings Dining Hall will maintain regular hours on Tuesday and Wednesday until 8:30 p.m., with enhanced security measures in place. However, late-night services will be cancelled on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Prompt notification of the RCMP was made upon discovery of the message. Enhanced security and patrol presence will commence on campus starting today. The safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff remains the highest priority
Authorities request that anyone with information about the situation contact Campus Security at 506-364-2228. Anyone feeling threatened or observe suspicious activity, please call 911 and inform Campus Security. Campus Security will maintain a visible presence, and the situation will undergo ongoing review.
